We got the Boathouse breakfast and it was amazing! it was grilled sausage tomato, homemade beans, smoked bacon, mushrooms, fried eggs and toast for £5.50 !!!! AND IT WAS DELICIOUS! I recommend this place 100%. We are visiting from New York City.

A small little cafe right on the water that serves a decent latte - works for me. I haven't had breakfast yet, so my review might change based on that. But at the moment I'm liking this place. The service is a bit slow, so don't be in a rush. Instead plan to sit down and enjoy the outdoor seating near the water, and take your time to drink your coffee.

This is not a cute cafe. This is a greasy spoon, that happens to serve food and coffee (from instant and from a proper espresso machine) and is also situation in a 'I can't believe my luck' location by the canal. It's also on the sunny side in the morning making it a perfect early wake up weekend destination.
So last weekend I took my very shiny new bike (and my mister on his very shiny new bike) and cycled until I could cycle no more. We got outside the M25. We went to Hertfordshire. It was fun.
On the way we discovered a host of cafes and pubs, this being one right at the beginning.
I like it. Actually, I love it. But, I like places like this. You won't go here for a treat, you'd pop by if you were a local. Me likes!
